Overview
Twinkle (“the App”) is developed by OpenRowan Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how it is used when you use Twinkle to generate AI bedtime stories.
Short version: We send only your chosen story theme and character name to an AI service to generate stories. We do not collect your name, email, or any information about your child. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple.
Data We Collect
Story Generation Requests
When you generate a story, the theme you select (e.g., “adventure,” “ocean”) and the character name you enter are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate the story text. We strongly recommend not using real names of children or any sensitive personal information as character names. Use fictional names like “Luna” or “Max.”
This data is processed by OpenAI under their Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models by default.
Daily Usage Count
The App tracks how many stories you have generated today using local storage on your device. This count resets daily and is never transmitted to our servers.
Crash Reports
We collect anonymous crash reports (device model, iOS version, crash trace) to fix bugs.
Subscription Information
Subscriptions are managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment information, name, or Apple ID. We receive only an anonymous subscription receipt token to verify your subscription status.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or any account information
- We do not collect information about your child
- We do not track your usage behavior or story history
- We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics
- We do not store story content on our servers — stories are generated on-demand and displayed in the App

Children’s Privacy
Twinkle is a family app designed to be used by parents with young children. Parents or guardians operate the App — children do not enter information directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We recommend not entering real names of children into story prompts.
This App is rated 4+ on the App Store.
Data Retention
We retain no user data on our servers. Story generation requests sent to OpenAI are subject to OpenAI’s data retention policies.

We will post any updates here with a revised “Last updated” date.
