Overview
Twinkle (“the App”) is developed by Leilei Zhang. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected and how it is used when you use Twinkle to read and listen to bedtime stories.
Short version: Twinkle is an offline bedtime story app. We do not collect names, email addresses, child information, story history, or advertising data. Story browsing, saved stories, and narration happen locally on your device. Purchases are handled by Apple.
Data We Store Locally
Story Preferences
When you enter a character name, age, and favorite themes, Twinkle uses that information on your device to find and personalize local story templates. This information is not sent to our servers.
Saved Stories
If you save a story to your library, the saved story is stored locally on your device using Apple system storage. We do not receive or store your saved stories.
Free Story Access
Twinkle tracks which free stories you have opened using local storage on your device. This is used only to apply the free story limit and is not transmitted to us.
Purchases
Twinkle offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full bedtime story library. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment information, name, Apple ID, or billing details.
Crash Reports
Apple may provide anonymized crash diagnostics if you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers. These reports help us fix bugs and do not include your story content.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or account information
- We do not collect information about your child
- We do not track your usage behavior across apps or websites
- We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics
- We do not send story prompts or saved stories to AI services
- We do not store story content on our servers

Children’s Privacy
Twinkle is designed for parents and guardians to use with young children. Children do not need to enter information directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This App is rated 4+ on the App Store.
Data Retention
Saved stories and free story access records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. We do not keep a server-side copy.
Changes to This Policy
We will post any updates here with a revised “Last updated” date.
